-- Bank of East Asia (0023.HK) received more than US$3 billion worth of orders for its hybrid securities, combining a 10-year note issued by the bank and preference shares issued by one of its subsidiary, and the securities are expected to be priced on Thursday, a banker familiar with the issue said.
-- Consumer confidence in Hong Kong rose the most in the world in the third quarter with a strong rebound in optimism about job prospects, household income and spending, according to a global survey by media firm The Nielsen Company. It was followed by South Korea.
